Continued funding for HLF

The Government is proposing that HLF will receive a larger share of Lottery good causes money from next year which would mean a further £19m for heritage projects in 2011-12 and then £50m per year from 2012 onwards.

The parks for people programme fits well with the new coalition Government initiatives such as Big Society, green policy and dealing with climate change and biodiversity issues.

Whilst there is no guarantee that this will go to support parks, if there is demand for schemes then we can argue for extra cash.  But HLF needs evidence that this extra funding should be spent on improving parks, rather than other heritage programmes.  To do this we need your help completing your baseline data and filling out surveys.
