3   Link   Greenflag Awards
The Green Flag Awards are a scheme aimed at assessing the quality of local parks and "greenspaces" in England and Wales. The award marks particular criteria required for a fun, accessible and environmentally sustainable "greenspace". Criteria such as access, safety and security issues, local community involvement and park management are assessed and awards given accordingly. The notion of the awards is to help create a network of award-winning parks setting out cases of best practice and benchmarking.
